Jordan Skills Academy is a premier youth basketball development academy dedicated to helping players unlock their full potential both on and off the court.

 

Our comprehensive training approach focuses on basketball skills, basketball IQ, and character development, ensuring that athletes are equipped to excel in every aspect of the game.

 

With a proven track record, Jordan Skills Academy has helped transition athletes from youth development to becoming highly nationally ranked players, and then guiding them into successful college basketball careers at the highest level.

OUR PHILOSOPHIES:

Coach RJ

Ronnel Jordan ( Coach RJ) 

Ronnel is a husband, father of 3 & a follower of Christ. He has a passion for helping and giving back to others & finds a special joy in teaching life through the game of basketball to the next generation of youth players. 

 

 

(The Trainer) 

Coach RJ is San Antonio’s #1 player development and skills coach, with a proven track record of success. Over the years, Coach RJ has trained over 300 athletes, including 20 collegiate athletes, 2 ESPN Top 100 ranked players, and 2 McDonald's All-American Nominees—David Punch (TCU) and Zach Clemance (Kansas University).

Holding certifications from the top NBA trainers in the industry, including Phil Handy (94ft) and Drew Hanlen (Pure Sweat), Coach RJ brings unparalleled expertise to his training methods. His unique approach combines skills training, basketball IQ, athletic performance, and character development to create well-rounded athletes who excel on and off the court.

 

( The Player) 

Coach RJ was a two-time All-Conference Player at the University of New Hampshire, where he competed in two NIT tournaments and helped lead his team to set school records for the most wins in a single season (2014-2015, 2015-2016). After college, Coach RJ pursued a professional basketball career in Spain, which was cut short due to injuries.

Before his college career, Coach RJ was a standout player in Texas, earning 3x 1st Team All-State and All-Region honors, 3x District MVP, and was named TABC 2A Player of the Year. His legacy at Cole High School is cemented as the second-leading scorer in school history, just behind NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal.
